The fabulous Darren ‘Graceland’ Jones is performing in Cwmbran to help raise funds for the 2027 Urdd National Eisteddfod.
The Welsh-language youth festival of literature, music and performing arts is taking place at Tredegar House in Newport.
Tickets for his show at the parish hall next to Our Lady of the Angels RC Primary School in Old Cwmbran are on sale now – £10. Use this link to get tickets.
It’s on Friday 7 November, and doors open at 7pm.
Across Wales, local fundraising groups have been set up. The Torfaen group has organised this event, the first of many quirky and unusual ideas they are planning to support the Urdd.
‘Hardworking’
Catrin Passmore, Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrȃn’s deputy headteacher, told Cwmbran Life: “Every region has its own appeals committee. Everyone has been so hardworking with lots of parents and Welsh coordinators from different schools, including Coed Eva and Llantarnam.”
