Dozens of sighthounds (and their owners) met last Sunday morning by Northfields for a social walk along the Afon Lwyd.

The event was organised by Emma Nash, owner of Milo, a whippet, who could only find similar walks in and around Cardiff.

She spotted the Great Global Greyhound Walk, a “worldwide annual event that celebrates greyhounds, lurchers, whippets, salukis, galgos, podencos, borzois and other sighthound breeds” was taking place last weekend and decided to get involved.

It was such a success that she’s decided to organise a monthly meet-up at 9am on the last Sunday of every month from the same location. All welcome. Emma has also set up a Facebook group – Torfaen Sighthounds for owners to join.
