The owner of a hand-crafted chocolate company in Cwmbran had a nice surprise when a TV production team contacted her to do some filming.

Alison Pope is the co-owner of The Little Welsh Chocolate Company, based on Springvale Industrial Estate. She received an email asking if a TV crew could visit the unit with James Martin to do some filming.

The TV chef spent a couple of hours in the town. When he left he invited Alison to visit his home in Hampshire to be filmed cooking for a St David’s Day item on his Saturday Morning show.

She went along and cooked up a Bara Brith and some vegan chocolate truffles using an organic Bara Brith flavoured gin. She used coconut oil in place of fresh cream so that vegans could enjoy them as well.

When is the Little Welsh Chocolate Company going to be on James Martin’s Saturday Morning show?

The St David’s Day show will be aired on ITV on Saturday 29 February 2020 and the filming in the unit will be televised in April.
