Secondary schools across Torfaen have been invited to take part in a talent showcase at the Congress Theatre.

Cwmbran Community Council’s events and community projects committee are organising an event on the evening of Friday 18 April.

The committee met last night (Monday 8 January) to discuss progress. Councillors were told that all secondary schools had been contacted.

Every school will be able to enter a solo act and a group. It will be run as a ‘showcase of talents’ rather than a competition.

Councillors stressed that it’s open to any type of act and hope to see pupils with talents including magic, comedy, dance, singing, poetry and music.
