The Parkway Hotel & Spa has signed up to join dog-friendly travel company PetsPyjamas for their ‘We’re Barking Britain’ campaign to help get the UK’s hospitality sector back on its four paws.

The national ampaign wants to encourage at least 10% of the nation’s 9.9 million dog owners to take their holiday in the UK in 2020, to try to generate more than £2 billion for the country’s hospitality industry.

Parkway Hotel & Spa joins more than 120 hotels and self-catering properties throughout the UK, who are offering Barking Britain petaways, from two to six nights, with local produce or a local experience being part of the break.

Karen Hanton, PetsPyjamas Co-Founder and CEO, said: “The hospitality industry has been particularly hard hit in recent months, and with summer abroad lacking its usual appeal, there’s never been a better time to discover all the UK has to offer. Through our ‘We’re Barking Britain’ campaign, we hope to rally up the nation’s dog owners to help get the country back on its four feet and reward our dogs for their emotional support during the lockdown with new adventures with their favourite human!”

PetsPyjamas has been running since 2014 and offers pet-friendly getaways at more than 10,000 hotels, cottages, country houses and B&Bs in the UK and abroad.
