The Griffiths family from Cwmbran put their Christmas tree and decorations up today. Have you beaten them?

Have you put your Christmas decorations up? I used this countdown clock to discover that there are 43 days and five hours until Christmas Day (as of 7pm on Sunday 11 November).

The Griffiths family from Coed Eva could be the first family in the town to get their tree, lights and decorations up.

Or do you know someone who has beaten them?

Their family tradition is to get everything up on the first Sunday after Bonfire Night which meant today.

Louise, Matthew, both 34, live with their 17-year-old son Marc.

Louise said: “People think we are mad and crazy but the tree and decorations cost so much that we like to put them up now and enjoy them. Also, with the dark nights it's something to look forward to.”
