Four roads across Torfaen will be resurfaced by Torfaen Council after receiving £238,000 from the Welsh Government. Two of the roads are in Cwmbran and work is due to start soon.
Rachel Jowitt, Chief Officer Neighbourhoods, Planning and Public Protection, approved a proposal to spend the cash on four roads in the county.
- Ton Road in Two Locks, Cwmbran- £62,000. Work starts on Monday 10 May and will take four days.
- Part of Newman Road, Trevethin – £56,000.
- Caerleon Road Ponthir ( Near the farm shop approach to Ponthir) £51,000.
- Llywelyn Road in Cwmbran- The stretch that runs between Asda and Sainsbury’s and onto Caradoc Road- £52,000. Work is expected to start in the next two to three weeks, weather permitting.
