a mum and her young son, both covered in powder paint
This mum told her son there was a prize for being the person most covered in powder paint

This mum told me she told her son there was a prize for the person most covered in powder paint at last week’s Kolor Dash for St David’s Hospice Care.

I’ve got to be honest, if there was a competition, he would have won it. I hope the two of you had the best time during the race- yes, these photos were taken before the start, where they would have run through the foam cannon and past even more powder paint stations.

Here are some more Kolor Dash photos

Ffion Curran, 12, with Jayne, the St David’s Hospice Care nurse who provided care for her dad, Tom, before he passed away from bowel cancer a few weeks ago.

Ffion, from Llanfrechfa, decided to run the 5km Kolor Dash in Cwmbran with her family and friends to raise money for the charity.

Her JustGiving page is almost at £15,000. She started the event, which attracted over runners, alongside her mum Christine, and siblings, Seren, 15, and Griff, 7, who all took part.

I took this photo shortly after she crossed the finish line and was met by Jayne.
