Until 10.30am this morning I had no idea walking rugby existed. By 11.30am the players of Torfaen Swifts walking rugby team had shown me what a brilliant sport it is and invited me to take part in a future session.

Torfaen Council could get powers to fine motorists who park on pavements

Motorists who park on pavements could face fines under new powers being given to councils by the Welsh Government. In 2019 a survey of over 1,000 people in Wales found that 83% found parking on pavements a problem.

Plans for a new cycle-friendly coffee shop in Cwmbran

Cwmbran MMA fighter is in Las Vegas aiming to win a UFC contract

Cory McKenna’s phone buzzed with a text message three weeks ago with an invite to fight at the UFC Apex in America on Dana White’s Contender Series. The Cwmbran-based fighter landed in Las Vegas last weekend for the fight of her life.
