A new community support group has started meeting at the Carro Lounge in Cwmbran town centre, offering residents a place to make friends, get advice and reduce social isolation.
Friend Zone Support runs two weekly drop‑in sessions – Mondays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm – using the area by the bar inside the venue. The group is open to anyone who wants company, support or a safe space to talk.
The sessions are led by Amelia Brooks who said the aim is to create a welcoming environment where people can connect at their own pace.
The group is also planning trips and activities for members throughout the year.
