Liam Boycott is standing in the Llanyrafon West Ward election for Croesyceiliog and Llanyrafon Community Council as a Welsh Labour candidate. Read why Liam thinks you should vote for him on Thursday 8 June 2023

Two candidates have been nominated for a vacancy with Croesyceiliog and Llanyrafon Community Council.

Electors in the Llanyrafon West ward will go to the polls on Thursday 8 June 2023. Liam Boycott is standing for Welsh Labour and was asked to answer this question- You should vote for me in the Llanyrafon West Ward election because…– and this is his answer.

I’m standing to be your Community Councillor here in Llanyrafon as I believe it’s vital that we have an active, committed representative for residents.

The cost-of-living crisis continues to hit people across Llanyrafon. With the out of touch Tory government refusing to act, it is Labour Councillors that have led the way in opposing the Tories and taken proactive steps to ensure there is support available for local people.

The Community Council has a strong record of activity within Llanyrafon; working with Gwent Police to make our streets safer; establishing a new orchard for people to enjoy; and supporting local sports clubs. I’m determined to carry on this good work as your representative, working with the community to improve play equipment and establish a community garden.

Vote for me on the 8th June for a local and active Community Councillor that will stand up for Llanyrafon.
