Kathy was asked to answer this question- You should vote for me in the Two Locks and Henllys Ward election because– and this is her answer.

I’m standing in the Two Locks and Henllys Ward alongside Peter Jones and Colette Thomas – you have three votes and this is why I’m asking for one of them. I’m a local mother of 4. I am seriously concerned about the cost of living crisis that is hitting all of us at the moment and I know that a Labour-led council is the only way to ensure that the maximum amount of help is given to the people of Torfaen who are in need. We have consistently given out more discretionary housing payments than any other council in Wales. We already support many residents with their housing costs, fuel costs and food banks, as this crisis worsens we will need to support more and the Labour group understand this and have plans in place to support everyone that we can.

As a teacher I have a special interest in education. I sit on the education committee and I am vice chair of governors on 2 local primary schools. I am passionate that both English and Welsh medium schools receive the best support possible.

I have loved serving as a Councillor for the past 5 years and would be honoured to continue to do so and to work in a team to represent the residents of Two Locks and Henllys Ward to the best of my ability.
