Gwent Police have arrested a 28-year-old man following a stabbing in Cwmbran town centre.

The 28-year-old victim from Rogerstone was stabbed in the leg on Wednesday 10 November. A Newport man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and is in police custody.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “The victim, a 28-year-old man from Rogerstone, was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
