Police hunt suspect after man stabbed in Cwmbran

Officers are appealing for information and witnesses after a man was stabbed in his leg in Cwmbran town centre.


The incident happened at approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 10 November.

The victim, age 28 from Rogerstone, is in a stable condition in hospital.  His injury is not life-threatening or life-changing.

Local Inspector Aled George said; “This is an isolated incident and although it is rare for an incident of this nature to take place in daylight in such a public area  I understand that it may cause concern for people living in or visiting Cwmbran.

“We have an increased our presence in the town centre today and I would encourage anyone to come up to speak to us so we can provide some reassurance.

“The suspect involved has been identified and we have a team of officers carrying out enquiries to locate him.”
