A Cwmbran woman who set up her own business to work around her son’s complex health needs is offering a free monthly house clean to help families going through tough times.
Chloe Lott launched A Lott of Care Home Services in January after her seven‑year‑old son, Jaxon, was diagnosed with Landau‑Kleffner syndrome.
Chloe and her husband have spent time at what she describes as “countless” appointments, tests and emergency hospital visits while caring for their three children.
Starting her own business has given her the flexibility she needed and now she wants to use it to support others.
She said: “Starting my own business has given me the flexibility to support my family while still working hard and doing something I take real pride in.
“To give something back, and to support families going through similar situations, I’d like to use my business as a platform for kindness. Each month, I will be offering a free general house clean to a family who is caring for someone with health issues and could simply use a helping hand. It may not seem like much, but sometimes small gestures can make a big difference.
‘Free general house clean’
“Every single month, I will be offering one family in need a completely free general house clean, so you can walk into a calm space and simply breathe.”
Chloe said the idea came from her own experience of returning home after long hospital stays to a house that needed attention.
“It could be a family like in our situation or has a baby in the unit or an older person in hospital and just needs [their house] a freshen up,” she said.
Chloe also thanked her clients for “being happy” to work around her occasional appointment changes so she could be with Jaxon.
