Cwmbran’s biggest community celebration is back this summer, with the Cwmbran Big Event returning to the Boating Lake on Saturday 13 June 2026, running from 12pm to 5pm.
Organised by Cwmbran Community Council, the much‑loved event will once again bring residents and visitors together for a full afternoon of free activities, live entertainment and family‑friendly fun.
🎨 Activities for children and families
Young visitors will be spoilt for choice, with:
- Torfaen Play crafts – hands‑on arts and crafts
- Dinomania shows – always a crowd favourite
- Skateboard and BMX workshops
- Hip‑hop culture classes
- Climbing wall
- Bumper cars and inflatables
- Face painting
- Sports sessions led by Torfaen Sports Development
🎶 Live entertainment
The main stage will feature performances from:
- The Mighty Party Band
- Supernatural
- Katie Rands
🐶 A dog show organised by All Creatures Great & Small Animal Sanctuary will also take place.
🐴 New for 2026
Animals Interactive will be bringing along a pony and alpaca, giving families the chance to enjoy grooming sessions and learn more about these gentle animals.
🛍️ Local stalls and food
Artisan food and craft stalls, organised by Torfaen & Gwent Small Business Markets, will showcase local makers, bakers and small businesses.
🚌 Free Park & Ride
To make the event even easier to attend, a free Park & Ride will run between Cwmbran Town Centre and the Boating Lake from 12pm to 5.30pm. Pick‑up point: the bus stop in the Asda car park.
