Croesyceiliog Male Choir has welcomed another new recruit, with top tenor Clive Porter joining the ranks three weeks ago.
Clive previously sang with Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir, also in the top tenor section, and becomes the 12th new member to join Croesyceiliog Male Choir in the past year.
The choir says it is keen to welcome more men from to come along, meet members and experience the benefits of singing as part of a male voice choir.
“We hope many more will follow Clive’s example and join us,” a spokesperson said.
The choir’s next performance takes place on Saturday 19 September, starting at 7pm, at Ynysddu Progressive Club. The concert is in aid of Velindre Cancer Care.
Anyone interested in joining the choir is invited to come along to the concert or attend one of the choir’s practice sessions, held every Monday at 7pm at Croesyceiliog Cricket and Rugby Club. New choristers are encouraged to “sit in” on a rehearsal to get a feel for singing as part of the group.
The first four months of membership are free.
