Celebrating the Legends of Variety  – in a Spectacular Show of Music, Laughter & Pure Heart

Lorna & Laister return with a show that captures everything we love about good old-fashioned variety – refreshed, refined and fired into the modern day with style.

After last year’s triumphant tour that filled theatres across the UK and left audiences cheering, ‘The Lorna & Laister Show’ returns by overwhelming public demand with a brand-new production that’s bigger, brighter and bursting with heart.

Front and centre are Lorna & Laister themselves – a comedy vocal double act whose chemistry is as natural as it is electric. Their blend of sensational vocals, razor-sharp wit and genuine warmth is the heart of the show. Whether they’re delivering laugh-out-loud sketches, heartfelt musical moments that stop you in your tracks or cheeky off-the-cuff banter that could only ever happen live, this pair take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster of laughter, nostalgia and pure feel-good joy.

And this year brings even more excitement with a line-up of exceptional special guest stars joining the journey, featuring one or more of the following:

Vicky Marie – returns with her soul-stirring vocals, bringing emotional power and warmth to every moment she steps into the spotlight.

Travis George – the voice that shook audiences to their core in the final of Britain’s Got Talent. Travis is back to raise the roof once again with breath-taking vocals and theatrical fire.

Michael Courtney – star of the No.1 touring show ‘Mad About the Musicals’. With unrivalled experience, effortless class and a voice that can fill a theatre in seconds, Michael brings a world-class presence that elevates the entire production.

Closer To You -recreating the iconic songs of The Carpenters. This duo capture the emotion and sounds of Richard and Karen Carpenter.

Steve Jones – the Musical Director guiding every beat of the show, ensuring that every harmony lands, every cue shines, and every comedic moment hits right on target

The Chimes: Dickens On Air- A Live Radio Play

‘A Festive Story to Ring the Old Year Out and the New Year In.’

It is Christmas 1950 in New York and the actors of WAFR: Playhouse of the Air gather for their annual festive broadcast…There is a new government, a new hope, a new world, so what better than a new play? And there is no better story-teller than Charles Dickens – and there is no better man to keep Christmas than he!

Trotty Veck is a ticket-porter – a man who fetches and carries packages, letters and deliveries for a small sixpence here and there. He doesn’t have much but he is happy, gentle and lives a simple, obedient life.

That life is given its order by the sound of the bells of his local church – breakfast, lunch, dinner all from the sound of the bells. He sometimes even hears them speaking to him…

In the run-up to the festive season Trotty falls asleep after a long day’s carrying and delivering. Woken by the church bells, The Chimes, and then summoned up the tower by their mysterious power, he has just one chance to change this world… but will he listen to the bells?

The Chimes is a Victorian It’s a Wonderful Life filled with all of the master story-teller’s colourful characters and heart-rending poignancy.

Fresh their hugely popular adaptations of A Christmas Carol and Casablanca, Lighthouse Theatre brings their signature live radio play style to this classic by the most theatrical of authors. There will be jingles, carols, music and – of course – bells!…this show is sure to be fast and funny, inventive and entertaining; but most of all a Christmas treat to reinforce the message of this festive time of the year…

Recommended for ages 10 and above.
