The Royal British Legion’s Pontnewydd branch will hold a special rededication ceremony next month to mark 100 years of the Pontnewydd War Memorial.
The event takes place on Saturday 23 May 2026 at 11.30am at the memorial on Lowlands Road, and everyone in the community is invited to attend.
The ceremony will pay tribute to those from the local area who lost their lives in the two World Wars and in later conflicts. Local veterans, families, community groups and residents are expected to gather to honour a century of remembrance and service.
