A golf tournament held in memory of much‑loved Croesyceiliog School teacher John Jones is appealing for raffle prize donations from local people and businesses or for golfers to take part.
Mr Jones, who taught at the school for many years, passed away from a heart attack at just 48. For more than two decades, the annual John Jones Memorial Golf Day has raised thousands of pounds for a Gwent cardiology charity.
This year’s event takes place on Friday 29 May at Greenmeadow Golf Club.
