Residents in Cwmbran will have the chance to bring along their antiques and collectables for assessment later this month when the T. Baker & Co. Roadshow visits the town.
The event will take place at The White Hut Community Hall on Tuesday 31 March, from 10am to 3pm.
Specialists will be offering free valuations on a wide range of items, with no fees or obligation to sell. Among the categories they do value and buy are:
- Jewellery (including precious metals, rolled gold and costume jewellery)
- Old coins and currency
- Silver and silver plate
- Fountain pens and pencils
- Cameras
- Vintage toys
- Smoking paraphernalia
- Medals, militaria and Masonic items
- Premium collectables
- Watches
However, the company notes that there are some items they do not specialise in. These include:
- Art
- Alcohol collectables
- Books
- Breakables (such as china, porcelain, tea sets and glassware)
- Cigarette cards
- Clothing
- Furniture
- Stamps
- Sporting memorabilia
- Vinyl records
