A Cwmbran community organisation is helping residents save money on DIY projects by offering donated paint at low cost.

CoStar, based in Fairwater Shop, runs a paint reuse scheme. A range of options is available, including chalk paint for £10, gloss for £20, and white or magnolia matt and silk for £12 per 5‑litre tub. Assorted colours start from £7 for 2.5 litres or £14 for 5 litres, while garden and masonry paint is also priced at £14 for 5 litres.

The project sees good‑quality paint donated by suppliers get sorted and made available to the public at affordable prices.

The initiative aims to cut waste, support local households and give people access to materials that might otherwise be too expensive.
