Cwmbran man has organised Valentine’s‑themed willow weaving workshop, giving adults the chance to learn a traditional heritage craft while creating their own handmade willow heart.
Simon Roch, who runs Willow by Name, Weave by Nature, has organised the three‑hour session, priced at £50 per person, including all materials, tools and full tuition, at The Crown at Pantygelli on Saturday 14 February from 9am to 12pm
Attendees will work with a range of willow species to complete their piece, with the workshop designed for beginners and those looking to try something new. The event is open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Food and drink will be available throughout, with the pub serving breakfast items as well as a full lunch menu for those who want to make a day of it. Simon said that all that’s needed is “bags of enthusiasm and a little patience.”
