West End theatre fans can get tickets for a production of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical in Cwmbran.

The show is being put on by Christchurch Music Society who return to the Congress after their sell-out production last year of Calendar Girls. The 9-5 show runs from Thursday 2 November to Saturday 4 November.

A spokesperson for the society said: “The society celebrated its 60th anniversary last year and continues to go from strength to strength. Last year’s production was nominated for seven South East District NODA Awards including ‘outstanding production’, winning in two categories: outstanding tech and stage management and outstanding newcomer.

“With plenty of laughter, girl power and inevitable hijinks on the agenda, it’s time to clock in. The musical tells the story of three female workmates who are pushed a step too far by their sexist and egotistical boss. There is only one thing for it. With big dreams and even bigger ideals, our girls set in motion a plan to kidnap the boss and reform the office. It’s time to stand up, team up and get down to business! With the tides turning, could things finally go their way?
