I interviewed Jayne Lavender by Cwmbran Boating Lake shortly after she finished her tenth parkrun.
That was on Saturday 20 June, and I shared a video (see below). I’ve just found a photo on my camera roll that I didn’t use. It was such a nice story, I thought I’d get it down in words.
In a lovely coincidence, Jayne’s tenth parkrun was achieved on the tenth anniversary of Cwmbran Parkrun.
Jayne told me she started the ‘couch to 5k‘ programme “about ten years ago” but didn’t finish it. Now, at 66 she decided: “Right. I’ve got to try and complete this.”
I think it’s fair to say it’s going well. Well done Jayne!
