South Wales Artists Cooperative is a not-for-profit organisation whose aims and objectives are to enable local artists to exhibit their art work and to promote cultural events like art exhibitions, music, poetry and performance art. The current Winter exhibition is at Forgehammer CIC, Green Hill Road, Forgehammer, Cwmbran, NP44 3DQ (The former RAFA club).

Richard Davies, chair of SWAC, said: “This is SWAC’s third exhibition and includes over 60 art works by 20 local artists, that can be purchased, please come along and feel free to browse. Art makes the most thoughtful of Christmas presents. The exhibition is open for public viewing every Sunday from 1-7pm with a public bar available. Our opening event last Saturday was a great success and included live music and poetry, performances, we intend to hold more performances during the coming months. During our opening we ran a ballet vote for the most popular painting in the show, the painting that received the most votes was The Wave, an acrylic original by Cwmbran Artist Caroline Tremeer.”
