Britain’s Got Talent finalist Travis George was in Cwmbran town centre this morning.
He was invited to cut the ribbon to officially open the new TUI store in Gwent Square. As soon as the doors were open he had a queue of people wanting a photo or to congratulate him for his performance in the competition.
As he joked and chatted outside with dozens of shoppers, staff in the new staff welcomed customers in for a first look around. The new store is a merger of the two previous TUI branches in the town and employs 23 staff.

“I look after cruise for that whole area, not just this store and it’s thriving so it’s lovely to see.” Julie thanked Travis for coming along. She said: “They are queuing up for selfies with him and to get his autograph. He’s such a lovely guy. He was more than willing to come along and help us today so that’s great to see.”
