Ghost hunt in Cwmbran

A chance to spend an evening with a group of ghost hunters in Cwmbran was too irresistible to turn down. Llanyrafon Manor was built in the 15th century and I knew it had a fascinated history.

But I didn’t know about a cake on a plate that moved and fell off the counter in the cafe. The sightings of a hooded monk walking through the grounds and a child looking out of an upstairs window were also news to me. Gareth, our guide from As The Light Fades, took us on a two-hour walk in and around this beautiful building while sharing some spooky sightings.

He brought a selection of kit to carry out various experiments in different rooms. The tour was good fun and really sociable. Watch this video to find out more about our night.

Make sure you watch the last 15 seconds of this video

My external microphone set up picked up perfect noise in every room apart from one. In the last 15 seconds of this video you can see and hear what happened. It was unusual as I’ve never had an audio problem like this on any other occasion.

Future ghost tours.

Keep an eye on the As The Light Fades Facebook page for details of their next events.
