Stagecoach South Wales workers are on day three of industrial action over a pay dispute. Talks were due to restart today between the union Unite Cymru and the bus company. This morning’s protest outside the depot attracted around 150 people. The increased numbers were due to drivers from Blackwood and Brynmawr wanting to show their support to their union representatives at the meeting in Cwmbran.

At around 11.15am a bagpiper started to play and some of the crowd began to follow him towards the stairs in Morrisons car park where they walked up them and past Harvester and Vue Cinema. The group of around 70 people the walked into town through the bus station. They turned right at Home Bargains and down North Walk before making their way back to the depot.

Cwmbran Life has asked Stagecoach South Wales and Unite Cymru for an update following today’s talks.
