The chances are all of these bags of clothes left by recycling banks in Cwmbran will be sent to landfill and not benefit the charities who need them.

A Cwmbran Life reader shared this photo that she took in the car park of Morrisons in Cwmbran on Monday evening. She had brought some clothes to donate herself but this was the shocking sight she found.

The bins were full but people who had brought bags to donate had decided to keep piling them up to leave this mess.

In 2020 the Salvation Army tweeted that donations left outside shops werd costing them thousands of pounds in vital funds for their work. They said that they lose £7 for every bag they have to take to landfill.
