The Grange University Hospital opened in Cwmbran today

The Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran

Today saw the new £350m hospital in Cwmbran open its doors. Work on the Grange University Hospital started in July 2017. The Grange is now home to Gwent’s only accident and emergency department as the site brings the area’s critical care and trauma services under one roof.

Minor injuries like broken or dislocated bones, minor burns and burns will be treated at 24-hour minor injury units at the Royal Gwent, Nevill Hall, and Ystrad Mynach’s Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. A minor injury unit will be open at Ebbw Vale’s Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan on weekdays from 9am-7pm.
