The beautiful Remembrance Day garden created by a group of neighbours in Cwmbran

A Remembrance Day garden

A group of residents have created a beautiful Remembrance Day garden in Cwmbran.

The display is in Bryn Eglwys in Croesyceiliog. This is the second year the neighbours have worked to create a display for Remembrance Day. They use the patch of land owned by Bron Afon Community Housing for creations throughout the year. Other displays have included one for the NHS and one for Christmas.

Local people knitted around 500 crochet poppies to make up the stunning red wall.

This year’s display features a wheelbarrow flower tribute to one of the group, Ted Shaw, who passed away in October. His funeral is this week. The group will take the display down next weekend and start making preparations for the Christmas display which they told Cwmbran Life would include some ‘surprises’.

They estimate that will up by for people to enjoy by 12 December.
