Take a look inside SpringHub, Cwmbran’s new co-working space

A co-working space has opened in Cwmbran to make it easy for homeworkers or business owners to be able to work from a professional office at a low cost.

SpringHub is based in the Springboard Innovation Centre in Llantarnam Industrial Estate. It offers benefits like free coffee, fast wifi, printing, free parking, and bookable meeting rooms. This is all just five mins from junction 26 of the M4. Costs start at £12.50 for the use of a desk for one day with discounts for multiple bookings. There are no contracts so people who are fed up with working from home, for example, can get out of the house and work in a professional office space with no contract.

The benefits of working from SpringHub include:

  • Tea / Bean to cup coffee
  • Fast secure wifi
  • 22kw EV Chargers
  • Free onsite parking
  • Printer
  • USB charging plugs
  • Breakout areas
  • Bookable meeting rooms
  • Whiteboard and collaboration area
  • Soft drinks and confectionery machines
  • Secure storage

Cllr Jo Gauden, Torfaen Council’s executive member for economy, skills and regeneration, said: “I am delighted to support this newly refurbished co-working space based within our Springboard Innovation Centre, Cwmbran.  Springhub gives a variety of opportunities for people to work from a base other than their home, be it someone starting a business, a sole trader, or someone working for a business where home working is the only option. It supports Torfaen Council’s key objectives of wellbeing, looking after people’s mental health and takes away the isolation of working from home for those that want to connect with like minded people in an office environment.

“It is also an affordable option during the current cost of living crisis for the people of Torfaen. I ask that anyone who is interested pop in and have a look for yourself.”

Miles Cook, from SpringHub, said:” I’m genuinely excited to launch Cwmbran’s new modern co-working space, SpringHub. My aspiration is it grows into a networking community for entrepreneurs, and also for the ‘working from homes’ who fancy the occasional change of scenery and company other than the house pets!

“I’ve worked in lots of co-working spaces over the years, and this is a combination of all the things I ever wanted. I’m massively grateful for the support of Springboard and Torfaen Council. In partnership we’ve put together such a fantastic place to work, I still love coming to work here!”
