The owner of the new Indian restaurant that is opening in Cwmbran has applied for an alcohol licence from Torfaen Council.  The Spice Inn will open in the building that used to be the Fairwater House pub.

A notice is on display in the window says the application is for a licence to sell alcohol from 11am to 3am on Monday to Sunday and until 5am on New Year’s Eve, Boxing Day and any Bank Holiday Sunday or Monday.

It’s worth remembering that most pubs have similar licences for long hours that they never use but it avoids a new application for special events.
