Pubgoers in Cwmbran raise over £500 for Down’s syndrome charity

Generous pubgoers raised £507.50 for a charity that supports children and young people with Down’s syndrome and their families.

Ivor and The Engines played a free gig at The Bush in Cwmbran on 29 July and held a collection for 21 Plus.

Rhys Bailey, landlord of The Bush, told Cwmbran Life: “An Ivor and the Engines gig has become a yearly tradition at the pub. The boys were as entertaining as ever and everyone who came enjoyed themselves.

“The money was collected at half time by collection going round from people on the night. Money was collected as the band played for free. It’s always an entertaining evening of great music and fun with our local community, raising money for fantastic charities and causes during the process. Keep your eyes peeled for when they are back next year.”
