Take a peek inside the Checkpoint Calendar that was published by Cwmbran Community Press in 1987.  The publication features some wonderful photos from over 100 years ago.

The adverts grabbed my attention. They take you on a trip down memory as much as the black and white photos.  You can see long-gone businesses including the Nawab Indian Restaurant, Ripples Nightclub and the Halfway Video shop.
