Staff at Fairwater leisure centre in Cwmbran take part in Swimathon
These four members of staff at Fairwater leisure centre all swam a mile as part of the national Swimathon weekend. They each swam 64 lengths. Gethin did his 64 lenghs in a speedy 24 minutes by backstroke.

Cwmbran footbridge closed for another six weeks
This footbridge in Coed Eva has been closed for maintenance work and will reopen in around six weeks. It crosses to the White Hut from Henllys Way across a stream. Walkers just needed to take a slight detour around the trees.
