Asda is helping to fund summer fun at Cwmbran Centre for Young People
Asda Foundation Cwmbran kindly donated £1,000 to Cwmbran Centre for Young People (CCYP). Kayleigh Thompson, CCYP’s youth work coordinator, made the successful application to the fund and collected the cheque from Kate Box, community champion at Asda. The money will be spent on the centre’s summer activity programme.
Cwmbran Morrisons offers ‘quieter hour’ for shoppers with autism
Morrisons has been working with the National Autistic Society and launched ‘Quieter Hour’ across all of their 493 stores. Every Saturday from 9am to 10am will see store lighting dimmed, background music switched off, loudspeaker announcements avoided if possible and other noises, such as the beeps at checkout counters, turned down.
