New staff entrance proposed for Cwmbran McDonald’s

Cwmbran McDonald’s has applied for planning permission to give staff their own dedicated entrance.

Currently, staff enter through the same entrance as customers before waiting to sign on for their shift on the right of the counter.

The application submitted to Torfaen Council shows that under the proposal some windows on the side of the restaurant facing the car park would be removed. They would be replaced with doors and a “staff only” sign. This would lead directly into what is described in the plans as a “courier area” before entering the kitchen.

The application is for: “The minor reconfiguration of the shopfront to include the removal of existing windows and the introduction of a new glass door with associated glazing, to form a new staff entrance.”

A decision will be made at later date.
