The Miles for Megan fundraising cyclists completed their three‑day ride from North Wales to South Wales today in memory of Megan Howells.
The money they raise will be split between Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice, Aneurin Bevan Maternity Bereavement Fund, and Morgan’s Wings miscarriage charity.
The ride has been organised by Megan’s dad, Craig Howells, as part of a year of fundraising events for the charities.
Megan’s mum, Louise Howells, a bereavement midwife with ABUHB, spoke to Cwmbran Life last year about why the family is marking what would have been their daughter’s18th year with events that raise awareness of baby loss and support families who experience it.
Around 20 riders are taking part in the journey, which will finish at Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice in Cardiff – one of the charities Megan’s family is supporting throughout 2026, the year she would have turned 18.
Donations to the family’s fundraiser can be made through this link shared in the comments of the original story. Anyone affected by baby loss can also reach out to Morgan’s Wings for support.
