Torfaen Council has received a planning application for a microbrewery, cafe and hot-desk facility on Springvale Industrial Estate in Cwmbran.

The application is summarised as: “Change of use to provide new communal workspace with internet access and cafe bar and microbrewery business. Extension to existing car park, erection of lean-to canopy, storage container and alterations to existing building to provide new sitting out area.”

The proposed development says customers will be able to reserve a workspace to enjoy a “coffee and light bite” while using the high-speed internet. The microbrewery part of the business will offer customers beers brewed on the site, tastings and the chance to learn about how the drinks were made.

The applicant wants to create a “unique local following in the area.”

The site for the potential new business is Unit 89 Springvale Industrial Estate Cwmbran Torfaen NP44 5BH

No date has been set for the council to make a decision.
