The organisers of a Cwmban market that encourages families to buy and sell nearly-new items for babies and children says it’s welcomed “thousands” of people through its doors over the last eight years.
Little Pickles Markets is celebrating its eigth year at Cwmbran Stadium. The next event is in Sunday 7 December 2025 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Entry is £1.50 for adults, children free.
The market’s website says: “This Market will be from bump, birth to approx 12 years and will have a great selection of good quality nearly new items on offer, such as clothing, toys, books, shoes, games, baby equipment and so much more.”
Jessamine Hislop, founder of Little Pickles Markets, said: “We want to encourage reusing, recycling and giving unused items a brand new home, so they can live on with new families.
“Helping parents to save money is really important, having five children myself I know just how expensive it can be to raise a family.”
Organisers say the event not only help parents save money but also encourage more sustainable shopping habits. With growing concerns about fast fashion and throwaway culture, the markets aim to keep good-quality items in use for longer, helping to reduce waste and promote a circular economy.
