A by-election for a vacant county council seat in Llantarnam is due to be held on Thursday 2 July.
There is a vacancy for one of the three seats as Cllr Jason O’Connell had to resign his position after being elected to represent Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr in the Senedd.
Nominations for candidates to contest the election must be submitted by 4pm on Friday 5 June.
