A flytipper has dumped a pile of rubbish in a field used by sheep that are in lambing season. The waste was thrown over a hedge near Treherbert Road in Croesyceiliog

A horrified eyewitness said many pieces of the discarded wood had nails and screws poking of them.

She said: “It really upsets me. As this is household waste, this could’ve been taken up to the council recycling tip in New Inn free of charge. However, someone thought better of it and decided to dump this is a field full of livestock.
“I find this very upsetting, disrespectful and inconsiderate. There are loose nails, screws and bits of wood all around that rubbish where any animal, not just livestock, could get hurt. Please, please can people take more care, and responsibility of their actions.”
