Fans at Anfield for Liverpool v Arsenal to hear song by Cwmbran choir

Football fans at Anfield today for Liverpool v Arsenal will hear a song sung by a choir from Cwmbran.

Croesyceiliog Male Voice Choir teamed up with West Country performer Micky John Bull to record a song in time for the festive season. ‘Hallelujah Christmas Time’ was written by Paul Hobbs who described it as “an inspirational Christmas hymn or anthem”.

Mr Hobbs told Cwmbran Life his song had been chosen to be played across the ground at Anfield before the match kicks off today. And tomorrow morning (Sunday 24 December) it will be played on Radio 2’s Good Morning Sunday programme.

He said: “It was sent to Anfield as no stadium belts out anthemic songs better. I felt honoured at such a stadium and for such a big occasion, Liverpool v Arsenal, makes it special

“Myself and Micky John Bull recently teamed up. It’s a huge moment for us both and the choir.”

The song was recorded at Pinewood Audio in Pontypool was released last month November. The track is available on several online streaming sites including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and SoundCloud. Click here to download the track automatically on its release date.
