Dave Mason is starting his 34th year of being a football referee in south Wales. The 65-year-old has no intention of hanging up his red and yellow cards and plans to go on ‘as long as my legs will let me.’ He estimates he has taken charge of over 1,500 games.
As a player he represented Girlings Pontypool for 150 games before becoming a referee.
