Cwmbran Tennis Club is encouraging more people of all ages to join. The club was set up in 1987 and its home is in the grounds of Greenmeadow Golf Club.

A spokesman for the club said: “We have six tennis courts that are open all year round, three floodlit artificial grass and three acrylic performance courts.  

“We offer a full coaching programme for both children and adults during weeknights, and social tennis on Saturday mornings 10am till 12.30pm and Tuesday evenings 6pm to 9pm where all abilities play one another.”

“We also offer our new Cardio Tennis sessions on a Wednesday evening and Friday morning, a high-intensity fitness class with all the fun of tennis but a workout like no other.  Need to squeeze into that Christmas party outfit? Cardio Tennis will do the job!”

What is cardio tennis?

“With all us all overindulging this Christmas, we’d like those wanting to get back in shape to try Tennis with Cwmbran Tennis Club.  It’s a fun and fast paced sport in a super friendly atmosphere. All abilities welcome.”

As well as the option of full membership, the club also operates a ‘Pay and Play‘ system, so that members of the public can visit the club and enjoy their facilities without long term commitment.  However, all members get the opportunity to join a league and play matches across South Wales.
