When Finley Jameson-Crook was five-years-old he saw children with hair loss on Children in Need. He asked his mum if the children wore wigs. They did some research and found Little Princess Trust.

The charity supplies real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people that have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Lisa, his mum, said: “Finley asked if he grew his hair, could we cut it and send it the charity.

“I said that if it was something that he wanted to do, then he could. That was four years ago and he’s not had a haircut since August 2015, apart from the old ‘mum trim’ to keep it in good condition.”

“We have lost count of the amount of times Finley has been mistaken for a girl but he takes it all in his stride! His attitude is that it doesn’t matter what people think. He knows that his hair donation will help make a positive impact to a little girl or boy who has lost their hair.

“Finley has decided that now his hair is waist length, it is time to go for the chop. He will be having his hair cut (short back and sides) on Wednesday 24 April, the same day as has ninth birthday.
