Dancers Amy Bird and Ella-Mae Thomas have been crowned the Juvenile Classical Sequence British Champions.
They took part in the Blackpool Junior Festival at the town’s Winter Gardens venue earlier this month.
Ella-Mae, nine, attends Cwmbran’s Rhythmic Dance Academy and is trained by Jemma Battiscombe and Amy, ten, is trained by Martin Bird.
Laura Percival, Ella’s proud mum said: “They are a very recent partnership getting together late last year which makes this achievement even more unbelievable really. Their reaction was priceless. Their faces were of complete shock and they ran onto the floor and then remembered to curtsy to collect their sash and trophy.
“They also represented Wales as part of the team match with three other juvenile couples from Wales earlier in the week, which was a great honour to represent the country of Wales.”
