Cwmbran Celtic FC’s over‑50s walking football team have won the Spanish Masters Walking Football Tournament.
The squad travelled to Salou with the club’s over‑65s team to take part in the four‑day event from 7-11 May.
Both teams are part of Celtic’s walking football section, which was set up in 2024 and now has over 100 players across men’s and women’s teams for all abilities.
The over‑50s side were unbeaten, topping the over-50s league across two days of football – winning eight games and drawing two.
The over‑65s finished 4th out of 12 teams, and also placed 4th in the Elite League (six teams). Their final record was three wins, five losses and two draws.
